The centerpiece of this double audio CD is an extended guided practice of Yoga Nidra rooted in the early approaches to 'Laya Yoga' found in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika: it is actually more simple, compelling and less 'wordy' than some contemporary forms, and is easy to follow into a deep state of relaxation. The Yoga Nidra is followed by seated meditations drawn from the Laya tradition, and a deep Savasana to complete the meditations.
The lecture is helpful for understanding the Hatha Yoga Pradipika as an essential text in the Hatha Yoga tradition, as it incorporates Laya Yoga and the concept of Yoga Nidra into the yogic idea of samadhi.
