Om Namah Shivaya' is known as the 'Panchakshari' or 'Five-Syllabled' Mantra. Each of the syllables after 'Om' resonates with one of the five elements: 'Na' with Earth; 'Ma' with Water; 'Shi' with Fire; 'Va' with Air; and 'Ya' with the 'Akasha' or Space — the realm of peaceful awareness within which the physical universe resides.
Listening to or chanting the mantra harmonizes the energies of the five elements that make up our physical and mental being, bringing about a serene yet vibrant state of being and awareness. Meditation and relaxation come quite naturally and spontaneously.
This cd is a steady and sweet musical rendering of the 'Om Namah Shivaya' chant, which provides support for meditation and relaxation. The length of the cd is 68 minutes.
